I have all of the names for the ballot except OL and rookies and will be working on the ballot over the next 2 days. I like running the ballot during free agency because presumably everyone is active then. During the playoffs, I imagine those who aren't playing are less likely to check in and vote.
I am going to experiment with more than 10 questions on the survey. If I'm allowed more than 10, I plan on splitting up DE and DT. The way it's set up now, DE dominate the vote because they get more sacks/hurries, but there are several deserving DTs.
I'd also like to do kicker there as well. If I am restricted to 10 questions, I am seriously considering putting kicker on the ballot anyway, replacing kick returner. In compiling the names, Houston's Daniel Franks was the only one with 2 KO return TDs and he also averaged 10.4 yards on 28 punt returns. Kickers could be a debate again. Al Borland had 47 FGs, 8 more than anyone else but he did miss 6 kicks. Several kickers missed just 1 or 2. Birmingham's Gerald Hinton wouldn't be on the ballot due to lack of kicks, but he was perfect. 24/24 on FGs including 4/4 from 50+ and he made all 20 XP.
As a league admin....adding a filter tab to stats would be awesome.
I'd love to sort catch allowed percentage with a minimum number of pass thrown at or filter by position.
Like filter tackles and sacks for DT only or DE only.
Various different filters would help greatly sorting out the best of the best at each position. A rookies filter would be awesome too under player stats.
Finally got the rookies and OL names figured out, going to be some good ones left off these lists. I narrowed the OL down to 16 names and the rookies to 7 on each side of the ball. For offensive rookies, we had 6 good skill guys and a prolific kicker, leaving several good rookie OL off the list. I thought about putting 1 or 2 on there, but I couldn't separate them, as they all were pretty equal in blocking stats.
I wanted to keep the rookie list around 7 names, that seems like a good number. The more names I add, the more likely the vote gets split even more.
When voting, you can always write in your guy if that's who you want to vote for, all questions will have a space for that. I have to work tonight, so I won't be able to create the actual ballot yet, but that will be done by Sunday.

I swear it's always something. We had some bad storms in the area, tornado sirens going off, high winds, torrential rain, so obviously people thought it would be a good idea to order pizza. We were extremely busy and I was too tired after work to mess with this. I also picked up a nail in my tire late, and had to use fix a flat.
That got me through the last 3 hours, but woke up today to a flat tire. So I had to go to the used tire shop and get a tire so I can work tonight. There went more time I could be making the ballot.
It will get done tomorrow unless my internet goes down.
It's not really problems, those things go with the territory. It's just aggravating and annoying because the last thing I wanted to do before work is go to the tire store. I need to get a better second car, been saying that for about a year, but surprise...I'm dragging my feet.
Another busy, stressful night tonight and it's taking me awhile to decompress. I'm just glad that when we are short on drivers, I make more money since our customers pay the bulk of my compensation directly.
I know I ***** about my job a lot, but I mean there is a reason they have to pay us to show up right? Think about your dream job...no matter what it may be, there will be things about it that are crappy. Even pro athletes have ridiculous travel schedules, no privacy, time away from family and a high risk of bodily harm. Point is, I actually like my job and have no desire to do anything else. It has a lot of good points to it, other than money, guess that's why I've done it for so long.
Only thing that can derail me now is if Google doesn't accept more than 10 questions. If they do, we will be done with write in votes, as I'm making questions with options for offensive rookie, MVP, etc.
