As some of you know, we suddenly had 2 openings today, Oakland and Pittsburgh. Oakland's former owner has left all of his leagues except 1, and he appears on my sign up block list. That list is automatic when someone leaves the league, and their name stays there for 30 days unless I physically remove it.

If you weren't already aware, Tribewriter came down with Covid 19 a few weeks ago, and I'm worried since he apparently was booted by MFN for not logging in since April 1st. I was going to remove his 30 day ban, but his name wasn't listed, only bgedgerly.

I'm assuming he's been too sick to log in, and hopefully he will feel better soon and want to come back. Have a good thought, pray, whatever your beliefs have you do to wish well on others, please do.

Still no word from Tribewriter?

That's not good, I hope real life took priority and he will be back eventually.

The same thing happened to Punisher awhile back. He was super active in the forums and one day disappeared without a word.

I wish I had got some kind of contact info for him since we live in the same city.

Unfortunately no.

I don't have a lot to go on, other than a phone number associated with him at his office at Wright State University. I called it after hours once to check the voicemail greeting, and it's him. CJ and I also sent him friend requests on Facebook, but nothing has come of that.

To be honest, I am very uncomfortable trying to track down and contact someone I've never met, especially since none of his people know who I am. If the situation were reversed, and someone contacted me out of the blue checking on my brother, I would be a little suspicious/creeped out. Yes, we live in the same area, but we've known that for years and never exchanged numbers or anything.

If anyone else feels more comfortable cold calling, PM me and I'll give you the info that I have, which is just his work number and real name.

I feel somewhat guilty for not pushing harder, but perhaps subconsciously I'm avoiding it. In an unrelated matter, I lost a co-worker yesterday out of the blue and actually informed 2 others about his passing. He called off work a week ago yesterday complaining of dizziness, and he had pinched nerves requiring surgery. He made it home from that, and idk if there were complications or if his stroke was coincidence, but long story short, he didn't make it. On top of that, my brother and I just sold our Mom's house and will be finally wrapping up her estate soon.

In tribewriter's case, I prefer to believe that he is still battling/recovering from Covid. It's been awhile, yes, but it's worse on older adults so he probably had it pretty rough, especially since he went 3 weeks without logging in. I would expect as soon as he is able, that he will check in to let us know he's alright. When he first left the league, he still kept tabs on us and chimed in from time to time, and surely he knows we are all curious about his well being.

I know the silence is deafening but no news is good news??? There is one other thing I did not find when googling his name, which is a good sign. Hopefully you can figure out what I'm talking about without making me say it.

He did sign in again near the end of April, so hopefully that's a good sign.

It looks like his Facebook cover was updated on May 1st.

Those last 2 posts are nice to see, and hopefully he is home resting and recovering.
