Lawson led the entire league in passing yards as a rookie with 35/35 and lost out to a OL as OROY.

I can only guess the 35 picks was the reason.

He didn't get my vote because of the type of offense you run (no offense).

When you are #1 in pass attempts and last in rush attempts I would expect your QB to have a lot of yards/TDs. However, he also had a low completion % and a lot of INTs.

You don't get to win ROY just because you have 100+ more attempts than anyone else.

By the time I voted it didn't matter, but I voted for Franks myself. Not only did Franks win OROY, he also led all OL in regular All Pro votes so he definitely deserves the honors. If I was going to vote for a QB for OROY, it would have been Emory Howard, as he had a much better TD/INT ratio.

If Lawson had like 17 or 18 INT, it's probably a much closer vote, but when you have an average of 2+ turnovers a game, the voting results aren't surprising to me.
