I've never been happy with my player weights, can't seem to get them right. Take my Tackle weights from above (guards are different), I can see 2 LT with the same weights but one could be garbage because of horrible run blocking, while the other has just average physical attributes but excellent blocking.

That's interesting...83 and 87....where is he lacking to be a 90 LT? He is 100 run/pass block with 60/68 speed/acceleration and 86 strength.

Although I've really found no great benefit to strength at offensive line. I had 2 offensive linemen with 100/100 blocking and 50ish strength on my offensive line and had the #1 offense last season. I still have it as a attribute counted since Seth has always said its important but I don't weigh it very high anymore. I give speed a higher weight now.

Setherick's weights for OT:
Strength: 100
Pass Block: 50
Run Block: 50
Acceleration: 26
Intelligence: 19
Discipline: 19
Speed: 19

I do remember at one juncture that he had pass block more heavily weighted than run block for LT.

I am not in a position to tell setherick that his weights are flawed, since I am not sure what metrics to use to objectively measure OL effectiveness. I guess that could be another forum topic.

I flip flop run/pass blocking for guards and have a different mix of speed/accel/strength. Centers have equal run/pass block and a slight bump in intelligence/discipline and snapping.

Really Wow!

Maxed out run and pass block and only 77. I will need to keep an eye on your offensive linemen and offer you some trades.

I measure it by offensive success overall. If you have a top 10 rushing and passing offense then the offensive line is doing there job

Most of my rankings are quite harsh as I like to see a few different attributes to see how versatile they are. With all OL I like to see there Short Snapping and Long Snapping prowess so I can quickly assess who can best cover Center in a crisis.

However I prioritise Strength and Pass Blocking for a LT. The good news is Dougan is in my top 100 LT. The top 2 LT's by my rankings are currently playing RT and C for their respective teams - the max rating is 91 and 90 and they are the only 2 90's rated at LT. The top 2 playing at LT are rated 88/88 they're 8 and 9 year vets.

The best youngster is rated 85/87 entering his third season.

I use to do the same thing by having a wide variety of attributes but I've found over the years that players can get lost in the wash. I find using a limited set of attributes that are key for each position has the cream rise to the top.

For instance, long and short snapping is meaningless to a LT and falsely lowers his rating for no reason. They will still show for center or long snapper so simply by checking positions on a players card, you can see how versatile he is.
