Brent Sylvain, FS, Honolulu
11 seasons (1974-84)
686 tackles, 32 INT, 37.5 catch allowed
All-Pro: 1983
Only player in league history to allow less than 40 percent catch with more than 500 passes thrown at him.
He would've gotten my vote. Not many recognition but all I look for in a db is his catch allowed % and interception. Was he on the ballot ? I don't remember

Yes nods there was him and 1 other player who got touted with their catch % rates.

I think we're on a good track with the Hall. It's about letting in the stand outs and then protecting from not extraordinary getting in. We're doing a lot better than the real sports HOFs....

I'm glad Cory Robinzine WR made it in. I purposely avoided touting for him when I was advocating for more to get in because it'd make my argument look poor. lol

I look at the INTs, all-pro, and championships for DBs, but the catch % isn't accurate.
