List anyone you wish to nominate for 1986 All-Pro below. I'm going to work on the ballot when I can the next few days, having my XMas tonight and work this weekend. I'll have it done by Sunday night, only possible snag I can foresee is I'm not sure if I'm allowed to run two surveys at once. Guess I'll find out soon enough.

Update: I am in the process of looking for last year's rookies and their stats. Finished with 3 of 8 divisions and should be able to do the rest before work at 11:00. Tuesday is a normal day off but with it being New Year's Eve, it's all hands on deck. I'll see how much I can get done on building the ballot after work tonight, but with 2 leagues drafting and work Wednesday, it's looking like Thursday.
Happy New Year! |

I also want to address my process, so nobody feels like I excluded their rookie. I'm now done with 5 divisions, as this gets easier the deeper I get. I start at the top, Pacific Division, and start listing rookies from 1986 who had pretty good playing time. 1986 was a good year for rookies as the list started to get long, so about 3 divisions in my standards got higher. If I came across a player that didn't have the stats that 2 or 3 others at his position have, he was skipped.
Just got done with New Orleans, and they had some good OL rookies but none made my list. Why? His best rookie had 843 snaps and my list already had 3 OL with more snaps and good stats. The lists won't be long, maybe 8 total offensive and 8 defensive at most so there will only be 2 OL on the rookie ballot. After I get through these last 3 divisions, I will then have to pare down my list to get those 6-8 offensive/defensive rookies. I'm also considering adding a special teams rookie of the year as I have already come across 1 kicker, 2 punters and a couple of WR/RB types have good return stats. |
