Murray isn't even at 50%. We have 18 votes in, Valencia has 14, Robinzine 11, Selmon and Munoz 9 each and that's it for the 50% and above club.

I may institute a minimum # of players to vote for. Ballots are anonymous but I can still see each individual survey. Of the 18 responses so far, we've had people vote for 1 player, 4 players (twice), 5 players (twice), 6, 8 (twice), 9, 10 (twice), 11, 12, 14 (twice), 19, 20, and 31. If we had a minimum, I would just throw out non compliant ballots and recalculate the vote.

Here is a link to the real HOF process, it actually takes 80% to get in but they also have several stages of voting, which is impractical for us to do.

I voted.

To comment on a post earlier in this thread, I agree I think there might be too many names to choose from.

I kinda like the idea of doing two surveys, so we have the initial list (can be however ever many) then it gets narrowed down to say 15ish and then we vote again for the finalist.

I feel like the Offensive line doesn't get enough love in the voting, so maybe there should be at least one O line elected into the HOF every year? I don't know maybe i'm just over thinking things?

Yes, with so much talent I punt kicked offensive line from even consideration.

I may try having 2 ballots for 1987, one around week 8 to whittle down the list to a more manageable number, then the other one wildcard weekend. Having one OL every year isn't a bad idea, I'll keep that in mind.

Just voted. Piggybacking off of previous posts, I like the idea of narrowing the list down with two surveys- I went through this list twice and it took me a while to make sure I didn't miss anyone. I also agree with the fact that the OL has been mostly ignored (I'll admit- I'm a little biased for Bukowski not being in yet, but there have been others who deserve to be there). I'm not so sure about making it a requirement for 1 OL each year, but maybe having the separate surveys might make it a little easier. Just my two cents...
