As you all know, I've been lagging in doing the extra stuff I did last season because I just haven't had the time/energy. It's not getting any easier MFN wise, as I was set to have 8 games today and just 1 tomorrow plus a draft. It's also getting bad weather season and holiday season which means I'll be busier at work, so something has to give.

I gave up 3 of my 11 teams this morning because with at least 2 openings here, I'll need to recruit. I said when I took over as commish that I would give up some teams if I needed to and now I need to. One of the 8 teams I'm left with could very well disappear in 2 weeks as that league has only 14 owners. I've pushed to fill that league before, but I won't now. If it fills, great, if not, I've had a great run there.

I feel bad for the LA's I left behind without any warning, but I had to do this for myself.

There has been a poor split between the two alternating sim days with one over-stacked and the other not as much. However, we (and probably a good amount of us) got struck with 4 new seasons/training camps hitting all on the same day and that was over-whelming. It'd take tricky coordinating spearheaded by CJ's collective 5 leagues, yours and toss in another league owner or two where a lot of us is flocked to time things out better. Push something off or change a sim game day for a league which CJ has done in the past to avoid one of the 2 alternating sim days from being a deluge. :(

I'm considering delaying the USFL sim a day or two around Christmas. We'll be in early free agency and draft is scheduled for the 26th. I'll probably make a poll and see what everyone thinks.

I actually watched my games for the first time in a long time this morning. Hopefully a few less teams help me enjoy this "game" a little more instead of just cranking out game plans like a robot.

I never understood that. Thanksgiving, 12/24 and 12/25 shouldn't be marred with draft nonsense/obligations. :(


I'd keep it to those 3 days and treat 'em like an off day Sunday.

I have posted in Champions and the XFL that I will be delaying the sim 1 day since 4 of my leagues are simming games on the same day.

I'm also planning on a 3 day sim delay for Christmas for all leagues.
