Week 16 Playoff Scenarios

We'll start with the easy stuff first. National Conference is all set except seeding. Goergia can tie New Orleans for #6 seed at 11-5 but they were swept by the VooDoo, so the elimination is accurate.

Washington and Birmingham will have the BYE

Florida and New Jersey will be the #3 and #4, TBD

Baltimore and New Orleans are wildcards, seeds TBD

In the American Conference, we have a few spots up for grabs.

Pacific Division

Southern California Win and they win the division. Lose, then they also need Honolulu to lose to win the division.

Honolulu Wins division with a victory and a Southern California loss. Wildcard scenarios below.

Wildcard Scenarios

Honolulu holds tiebreaker over Denver based on the Week 15 victory.

Honolulu holds tiebreaker over Oklahoma based on Conference Record

Honolulu wins a 3 way tie with Denver and Oklahoma based on Conference Record

Southern California beat Denver in Week 11

Southern California has a better conference record than Oklahoma

Southern California wins a 3 way tie with Denver and Oklahoma based on conference record

Denver has a better conference record than Oklahoma

Bottom Line

Southern California and Honolulu are in the playoffs with wins.

By my calculations, Southern California is in with a loss, yet the standings do not show that so I could be wrong.

Denver needs to win and have Honolulu lose.

Oklahoma needs to win and have both Denver and Honolulu lose
