Shaw being sent to SoCal by Georgia is only the second instance of a No. 1 overall pick being traded by the team that drafted him.

Tampa Bay took CB Shawn Arzola with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1974 expansion draft. The Bandits then traded him to Oakland during the 1975 draft. Arzola had great ratings, but his catch allowed was only meh (45.4) and he retired after four seasons with the Invaders.

Shaw might feel disrespected until he talks to Boston WR Joseph Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 1981 draft. The Breakers didn't even put him into their depth chart for his rookie season. Clark caught one pass in the preseason and never saw the field again. He has caught a combined 96 passes over the last two seasons.
