I'd much rather have the community report unbalanced trades and review them on a case by case basis if it's not too much work for you. Seeing how upset people got over the 3 aging vets for a 4th and a 6th rd pick trade, no one would ever be able to trade again.
I'm open to suggestions but will say that in order to keep the solution scalable it cannot include me making final decisions in controversial trades. The community override idea rolling around in my head goes along the lines of having a certain amount of time where a trade can be rejected if a certain number of owners (probably based on a percentage of league owners - perhaps active within the last 7 days or something) reject the trade. Owners would be also given the ability to approve the trade which would reduce the reject vote count. If there are not enough owners voting within a certain time frame then the trade would go through.
The biggest problem with that would be last-minute trades during the draft, but one way around that would be to only require approval for trades that are currently rejected by the AI, and trades that are currently accepted would continue to be done without delay. (I might tighten the AI just a tad with the ability to push a trade through with a vote).
