Kicker Ratings

Where do the kicker ratings come from?

For example, I know that Kickoffs and Field Goal Kicker ratings come from my weights, and they are reflected in the depth chart.

However, when I see my kicker in the roster page (for example), the ratings are not the same.

EX:
64/85 on roster page
70/98 in depth chart for "Kickoffs"
67/94 in depth chart for "Field Goal Kicker"

There are 3 ratings that apply for your kicker - there is the general Kicker score, and there is the FG and Kickoff scores. The roster shows the general Kicker score, but the depth chart shows the scores specific to that application.

Am I correct that there is no way to assign my own weights to the kicker "general" score?

It does look like that's right, I don't think I realized that - it is available is the upcoming release.

Just found this old thread, my issue is a little different.

My kicker is at 78/78 on roster page, but in depth chart he is 72/76 for both, kickoffs and field goal kicking.

Which confuses me, how the 78/78 can be displayed in the first place, when both actual kicking assignments are lower. What else than those two could be calculated?

Kick offs and FGs weight different attributes differently.

Sure, but as i said..he is 72/76 in depth chart (for both!) and 78/78 on roster page. For example, if I put a 78/78 WLB in depth chart at WLB, he is 78/78 there.

I wouldn't complain if he was 78/78 overall, 72/76 on kickoffs and 81/81 on field goals or something like that. That could be explained.

But both depth chart ratings are lower than the overall rating on roster page, even though kickers don't do anything else than those two assignments.

How are you supposed to find a better kicker, if you don't even know what the real numbers are, until you have already signed him and assigned him into depth chart?

That's more like a coin toss. ;)

For kickers, idc about overall ratings. I add kick strength and kick accuracy and look for a guy as close to 200 total I can get. Accuracy more important than strength imo.

Also, any kicker with a rating of <80 is trash
