We are excited to announce the release of version 0.3.1 of the MyFootballNow Game Engine! Notable updates and bug fixes include:
- Improved player creation algorithm, including higher rated players for the first part of the draft and an increased CB/decreased safety creation rate
- DL pressure impact has been improved and pressures are now noted in the play-by-play
- AI draft selections should be improved
- If the AI has to activate or deactivate players, it will no longer rebuild your depth chart
- Punt receiving team will now force the punt to re-kick if there is a penalty against the kicking team and the punt pinned the receiving team inside the 20 yard line
- Some timeout issues have been resolved, including the defense calling timeouts too early when behind by a large amount
- The "sack for a gain" bug should be fixed
The game engine will roll over as each league ends their season. You can see what version of the game engine each league is using by looking at the bottom of any page in the league. Note that the players are generated at the end of the regular season and not the beginning of the next season, so the player generation changes will not occur until the league has completed a full season using the new game engine.
