TL;DR: 12 votes tells you nothing, 4.6 sucks, 4.5 spits out stats similarly to the NFL, plays like Hitch and Flare should be fixed.12 votes is hardly a big enough sample size to think that the result is representative of the population's opinion at all. The 90% confidence interval on 8-4 is 39%-88%, meaning it's very likely that the true measure of the population's vote on the matter actually falls somewhere in that range.
The passing game is difficult to pull off in 4.5 as it is, relying mostly on dink-and-dunks with occasional huge catch-and-runs creating the bulk of actual passing yards. People who have played 4.6 have repeatedly brought up concerns over the even further neutered passing game, which you can find in forums for those leagues.
You can see the issue for yourself: compare passing yards/game stats in mature leagues running 4.5 versus mature leagues running 4.6. 4.5 leagues typically have 1-5 teams averaging 300+ passing yards per game. 4.6 leagues struggle to have even a single team average 200+ passing yards/game.
Contrast 4.6 to the NFL. For the last 25 years, the majority of teams averaged 200+ passing yards/game, usually with 0-3 teams averaging 300+. The league average has floated between 200 and 240 passing yards per game since 1993 -- it was usually 200-212 from 1993 to 2007, trended upward for a few years, and has ranged from 230 to 244 since 2012:

Yes, the Hitch Problem in 4.5 is annoying, and coverages should be adjusted to keep safeties in deep zones from biting on the pass. In the NFL, that safety would be playing over top of the receiver while the CB playing man is underneath, unlike in MFN where even if the man CB is under, the safety is biting on the pass and they can both get burned.
But if Hitch is going to be fixed, then passing plays should get minor buffs so that receivers get open more often and other passing plays can feature skill players beating open-field tackles more often -- or JDB should implement some other fix to the lackluster passing game. This would keep passing numbers in line with the NFL and get rid of annoying glitches from ruining otherwise close games. Similar adjustments should be made to other broken plays like HB Flare too as part of the change.
Either way, the current iteration of 4.6 is not one I want to play, and I think a lot of other people would agree with me.
