I can't say I entirely agree with these ideas... My first football team that I took control of (and ill get back to this in a little bit), from scratch even, was a rival of another team in the league that had blown us out every time we played. Their first season, 15-1, or 16-0, I don't remember, its not THAT important. They beat us in the conference championship, of course, but went on to get shutout in the league championship to a team that nobody thought would win (almost Cinderella story-ish had it not been an online game). Anyways, another season finishes, and again its both of our teams taking first round byes in the playoffs. His team gets upset by a WILDCARD team. This time, I go all the way to the league championship. I can't remember the score, but I would like to say it was close. I would also like to say that I would have thought my team was better, but nope. We had fought injuries the later half of the season and yada yada, we still lost so it doesn't matter. So I do think that upsets happen in this league, I think that its more of who has a better game plan.
The idea that new people should stick with new people, while the experienced people stick together is ludicrous. I quit a league because I didn't know what I was doing, the league was not very active, and/or I was picking up more hours at work. Pick one, I don't care. I have just recently joined a league with owners such as Bryson, and Otterpop. Otterpop and I share the same division. I don't know the other guys yet, but I will soon. I'm not saying I'm going to beat half of these guys, ****, if Bryson puts up 80 points on me, then he puts up 80 points on me. But that will be the only time Bryson puts up 80 points on me. I can take an *** whooping, and learn from it. I took over a decent team, but I also joined because of experience I will get from it.
Lastly, it would not be "wicked cool" to implement an english premiere league style of league standings. If a person would only do their research of the league before they took ownership of any team, they would have a better idea of what they are getting in to, and can only blame themselves later on if they aren't having any success.
