Not meaning to hijack your thread, but I've seen multiple plays by the D where they appear to be all over the QB, who suddenly turns around and inevitably throws for some 20-30 yards, usually on 3rd down as well.
See them all the time. Throws a complete lazer and a lot of those times its into double coverage. You would think a QB moving one way wouldnt be able to throw those hard passes back across the field on a dime and so accurate without it taking anything off the throw and this comes from some lower rated QB's as well. I dont think the pass rush effects the QB at all unless your sacking him as i have seen him being slowed down close to being sacked and he still will throw a pin point pass deep down field or across field.
I think some of the QBs feel the 'Hurry' and end up over/under throwing, but its in particular the roped ***** on 3rd down with D pressure right over the dot which has me scratching my head.
I can't remember which team, but I knew I had to apply pressure to an accurate QB and although my LBs/DEs got through on blitzes it made 0 difference.
Lol, I might try a game with zero blitz and see what happens.
