I think this idea may help some out with drafts instead of just using weight. If we could set a certain position with each rd like say rd 1 be able too que a qb and rd 2 like dt and so forth.Even in new leagues drafting per rd it would help us be able too prioritize are needs.

You can effectively do that with weights with the added benefit that if all the good QB's are gone you won't take a 50-rated QB over a 70-rated DT (unless your weights specify as such). The idea with the weights is that once a position has been selected that position reduces in weight hopefully preventing you from selecting multiple players at the same position (unless you specify that in your goal count) before you've taken the best players in other positions you'd like.
Another idea that I think would help a lot with the draft:
On the player card, if there were a tab called "Positions" (or something). This tab could show the player's ratings at various positions (mabye top 3 or so). This would help identify players who could switch positions without having to go through the entire player pool.

I like this idea a lot, I am always drafting players and putting them at other positions. This should be on all players cards and not just the draft. It would also help in trades

Nah, do some scouting and earn the right to draft a good player. *served-up-on-a-plate*

Not that opinion counts for anything, I think its a lazy idea. One of the things I like about this game is the more you put into it the more you get out of it, but the games still remain close. Adding this option takes away the fun of actually going out and looking for the talent, this option exists right now IF you can be arsed to go looking.
