I would agree with you mardn except for one thing, the trade was enacted by an account that had just joined the league, during early FA period, when there were still a couple of elite MLBs available and both were signed during that period. Secondly, looking at the roster for Detroit, they already have a good, 2 yr old MLB, it wasnt like the position was a high priority need to fill. And, you could say, well, maybe that owner wasnt that aware of the possible better alternatives... yeah, thats possible, but not very likely for someone with more than 2 months exp and several teams.
New game version or not, MLB is still not as high a priority position as CB1, SS1, or WR1, 2, or 3, ito availability of "elite level" players. Granted, other owners have different opinions, but I just won the L35 championship with a roster that I replaced 1/3 of with players out of the FA pool and had gone 7-9 the previous season, I took over the team following the draft. Point is, I think I have a pretty good knowledge of player value and positional importance, good enough to result in a record on 4 current teams total, and not counting the new team in beta87, that is 3 straight LCs in 14, 2 straight in 63 (had to cut several key, elite players due to dead cap this season), and LC last season in 32 and 35, along with the first two LC's in private 75 and an LC in 10. I have been criticized for using a limited playbook, mainly on defense, which is based on play results more than anything else, and will be leveled in the new game version. But, I have never been, nor will be, accused of taking first round picks from lower ranking teams or new players fresh off the wait period without giving equal or better in terms of value.
So, what do you do if you get exposed? Or you think your account may be banned? especially if you spend most of your time playing this game? Well, there are several options that I can think of, especially if you are able to manipulate IP addresses, its not hard, there are several methods which are posted on numerous sites on the subject, and which is most likely the case with someone who uses dupe/dummy accounts for this game. cheers, gdb
