After listening to the show, I have a question about overrides.

Let's my opponent puts a HB in the slot WR position of some 1-1-3 formation. Now it's a 2-1-2 formation. Will my defense play as if it is still a 1-1-3 formation and rules the rules I have set for that or will they play it like is a 2-1-2 formation and use completely different rules I have setup?

Thanks guys, keep up the good work with the show!

The defense will combat the original formation of 1-1-3

The formation of the play won't change. You can substitute all RBs or whatever you want to do with individual positions but the players (overrides and all) still line up in the original formation of the play call.

Thank you both for answering. That helps a lot.

One possible idea for a future show is to try and get a hold of JDB and see if he can talk with us "experts" live and ask him various questions as well as give feedback/suggestions on his current list of future updates.

Personally, I think the show should be shortened to 15-30 minutes. You're covering a lot of ground in your 75 minute talks, but you're going to run out of topics. Also, it's hard to fit in an hour long podcast about MFN in to my week. 15-30 would be perfect for my commute.

I think 15-30 minutes is too short. We've done 2 shows. We are barely getting a feel for this thing. Let us get a few under our belt and it will start to find its own rhythm and length. Right now we are getting to know each other. I think there are still plenty of things to talk about.

I really like the idea of pulling in JDB here and there, too!

I REALLY enjoy Myfootballnow and MFN-Tonight. It's great! I would really like to get involved, too. There's just one problem - I'm not available at the time of the broadcast. That said, would it be possible to incorporate written articles or something into MFN Tonight?

I really do agree with the whole talking IRL football thing. There are plenty of opinions out there and tons of things to talk about. There are LOADS of leagues on MFN. Why not talk about some of them every once in a while? We can use specific occurrences to explain things. Not only that, we can really build the community up with some official MFN-Tonight articles - the types of fluff that can't fit onto the show, but still are interesting topics that people want to know about. Example: Someone could talk about how they were recently beaten by a smashmouth team despite gameplanning; it was a classic CrimsonWolfZ team and despite using many passing plays to try to counteract his run defense, they still lost. Talk about the pros and cons of both of these strategies. Talk about how San Francisco in League-83 is a world beater WITH ONE OF THE WORST QBS (ATTRIBUTE-WISE) I'VE EVER SEEN. Sure, talk about the lead-up to the draft in the articles. I actually write reports on Pro football for my Junior College's newspaper.

In summary, I'd love to get involved, and would love to write some articles sponsored by MFN-Tonight with things that you guys haven't been able to cover in your shows, things that aren't widely relevant to MFN (such as specific league happenings), and some deeper pro football analysis that you guys won't be able to do on radio. Just an idea.
