A lot of good ideas in this thread, they are not going unnoticed.
So Speed and Blocking skills are the only thing that is important to the OL. No wonder underweight players do so well. In other words, OL doesn't really matter.
You really need to run a SP conversion right now to make OL actually worth a **** otherwise this game becomes more farcical everyday.
EDIT: Realized that I should explain this a bit more.
Here is what we know:
1) Physical weight affects a player's SP. This is the only attribute that we know for sure that physical weight affects. And heavy weight negatively impacts SP. So the heavier a player is, the slower the player is.
2) Since OL have not been generated with SP, until the most recent "patch," then OL are already at a negative advantage against players of similar weight that have high SP. So those 100 SP, 290 pound rampaging DEs in v.3.2.
3) Since DEs that are underweight are already faster than DEs of average weight because of the negative impact of weight on SP, they have an even greater advantage over OL that have no SP and are negatively impacted because of their weight.
4) Since blocking skills only determine how long a block is held, then pass blocking becomes a moot point for OL because high SP, underweight players with high pass rush will negate it.
5) ST is a pointless attribute for OL against an underweight, high SP, high Pass Rush DE since the OL will never engage with the player to actually "push" them. And the skill becomes largely useless in general since OL don't push on pass blocks.
That means that OL as they are currently generated are basically useless. No wonder QBs are always under pressure and **** because of it.
