with that attitude you aren't going anywhere fast in your life.

What attitude? You have no idea what you are talking about.

I owned and ran a multi-million dollar company for years, then sold it when I was 34. I now own and run another successful company. More important than that, I have a wonderful wife and son whom I am very proud of, as well as the rest of my family whom I am very close to. I love many, and I am loved by many. I've been successful in nearly everything I've ever done.

And I have an awesome dog!

Much respect WarEagle. Both here and with whatever you're doing in life.

I've actually mulled the idea of having a league type where you only build your roster (no game planning), I hadn't thought of having one without trades.

In either case I wouldn't change any existing leagues, they would be new leagues with those settings.

Id love a GM based league. I don't want any coaching responsibilities at all. Not my thing. Sadly, as it stands now thats the way to way to win a league.

Custom league of course ... lol. Appreciate your taking this suggestion!

I'd want the Coaches themselves to have more Options/Potential in a GM Only League.

I would say rules(as I use none) is what wins a super bowl ( as i have won none)but I think roster wins in general hands down.

actually from my experience rules don't win super bowls I have 11 rules for every league I am in which btw 8 of those are offense rules and 3 of those are defense rules and I haven't won the super bowl though I have made the playoffs with teams that before I could never get to the playoffs.

So I think the Roster is the reason people win the super bowls.

Unless of course one of my leagues proves me wrong about that .

Have you looked at MFN-7? (You're in it.) Can you say that San Diego has a super roster? Eight conference championships in a row. Five league championships in the last seven seasons. All mostly attributable to rules and gameplans.

That was one team/owner that made me say about rules really putting you r team over the edge. I figured the players fit your system, played awhile together in the same system, you game planned well, probably drafted well to your system, and most likely importantly in your case rules as I heard you say you had around 50!
Still one of the few gameplan / rules winners. I was not searching, but that team stood out.

The nice balance of what it takes to win is what makes this game so good. I just focused on rosters first and now am delving into game planning. I get rules but the application blows my mind.

San Diego = https://mfn7.myfootballnow.com/team/view/2

well I would say they don't have a super roster.

My opinion of a Super team is they have like all 80 rated or higher or all 90 rated or higher players on their team.

Though could be wrong about that .

**** if he has 50 rules that is probably one reason he does so well.
And here I thought I was so proud of myself to have 11 of them .
Boy my 11 now look so small to his 50.

The difference between game planning and trading is that one is unilateral and the other is bilateral. No one else can set your gameplanning for you, so there is no way one player can take advantage of another player in this regard. Whereas, trades have to be offered. This is why I support the 30-day wait period, but no other restrictions on trading.

Trades don't really get over read to the extent they need to. Tell me why Rolltide has, made over 30 trades in 25 leagues with all first rounders and everyone of em was a rip off. He has made huge impacts in the best leagues and then Abandoned the teams. And he's still rollin. He just traded two first rounders to a super bowl winner in lg 68 for practically nothing.
