That was actually the main reason I was asking. I'm really enjoying this game but I feel like the offseason takes forever. I was trying to think of ways to speed it up and simming on sundays was one thought I had. Some other thoughts are:
1. Reduce the early free agency from 6 to 4 days. I've only been though 1 off season so far but it seemed most of the good players were gone by day 4. Since we have another free agency period after the draft I would imagine cutting to 4 would be ok.
2. Reduce the draft from 6 to 4 days. I really like the live draft for the first few rounds, however after that it seems you are either taking kickers/punters or just grabbing the next best player and hoping he turns out better than expected. Would it be a big deal if we eliminated the live draft on the last few rounds or just shortened the time in between picks quite a bit?
3. Late free agency. What would happen if we cut this from 4 to 2 days? It's not like we can't still sign players during the preseason and by this point I would think most teams have their starters and would just be signing depth anyway.
4. Finally, I think having the "midweek" sims between regular season games is great. However, is it really necessary during preseason games? Are people spending that much time gameplanning for their preseason game?
Just some thoughts. Seems like we would cut about 9 real days off the offseason schedule with minor impact to the flow of the game.
