The best part is not one of those two players that broke tackles on that play had a better break tackle rating than the defenders tackle rating. But they have better strength ratings . I wish technical ratings mattered more than physical ratings so I could rule out random chance.
Just because someone has a better tackle rating than the break tackle attribute of the player they are tackling doesn't mean they will make the tackle 100% of the time; the higher the disparity, the greater the probability of the tackle being successful, but it's never 100%.
My references are towards the over value of physical ratings . Clearly you are set on the level they are preforming. I just don't agree. The discrepancy in the two set of ratings in relation to player size favor the strength rating . Not the tackle/ break tackle .
I do not feel the default ratings are very accurate . .....in comparison . ........the ratios they are set at do not represent what you state here . It is very confusing . To say the least .
Look at combine numbers in the nfl. Athletic numbers are just that. Technique matters more, and according to default ratings I would assume the code would match. . Hey, perhaps I am the only one, but I always could go back to favoring athletic ratings. It's just too simple and imo closes the gap of what range technical rating can be effective vs. an athletic player.
