Additionally: Annual subscribers should get at minimum and likely a maximum of 10% off the monthly rate. As of this post - i can buy a month or annual subscription, but its all the same price.
3, 6, and 9 month subs should be available with increasing discounts. see below: 5, 6, & 8% at 3, 6, and 9 months, with 10% at an annual subscription purchase..
I would also encourage a three month 5% price break for first time subscribers, as a league season is about 3 months.

There is not an option for 1 team full custom no ads.
Astonishing.
Until I get a sub worth paying for, and a discount for an annual, I'm just not subscribing.

Actually, you may not be reading the subscription pricing correctly. The annual payment is the cost of 10 monthly payments, so you get 2 months free on each of the annual payments.

As incentive and to improve mfn activity. I think admins who maintain 75% and higher daily activity from their league (75% of the teams having owners that check in daily) should have free top level subscription. This will strongly increase the desire to bring in players and to post engaging content on a daily basis. Or perhaps start at lowest subscription free if admining a league at 50% active and increase subscription incentive tiers according to activity based on average over a month. This is probably the best or at least easiest way to encourage activity and outreach in mfn. It should also encourage more subscribers who want to get the content from multiple leagues and without distractions. Admins would obviously be shooting for the higher tiers with the most benefits, which would make admins competitive with each other to post the best content. It would likely start an upward trend of bringing in new subscribers and improving content and feedback that the game admin doesn't have to work on. Even in the event of collusion it'd create mostly active leagues for new players to want to subscribe to. Overall it should improve the site and increase your revenue with minimal effort. Though you'd have to put a code to monitor the log ins and give the admin the appropriate free subscription.
