I am considering implementing a sliding injury meter during the preseason, and thought it might be something for all leagues. Players start with low conditioning in the preseason and therefore more susceptible to injury then work the conditioning up through playing time.
What if we all started preseason game 1 with the injury slider at 0, or even 26 (no odd numbers work), then increased the injury slider for the next game? Bulk up the injury meter while the players build up conditioning.
Nothing takes the joy out of a season like watching a star player suffer a debilitating injury in the preseason. This game is about attracting users and having them enjoy playing right?
Before the naysayers start saying what about realism, MFN is far from reality. We don't have 17 game schedules, BYE weeks during the season, I.R. with a designation to return, practice squads, or suspensions. We do have many games that produce unrealistic box scores, such as 20 sacks in a game so "trying to keep it real" isn't a good reason imo.
