Having returned and looking to edit player weights, have the following ideas for improving the screen.
1) Too many sliders on screen!
At the moment, there's a slider for every attribute - this can be overwhelming to newbies I guess. Why not only display a set of core attributes for each position ( ie, only the attributes as shown in player cards )? Other attributes could then be hidden behind a collapsible GUI element - so for a QB, you see the QB attributes. Click on say "other attributes" and the other attributes are then shown.
Can even extend the concept further.
Intelligence, Speed etc are common attributes across all plyers. A screen could now look like ( if ASCII art was used... )...
Editting QB Weights
-- Common Attributes ---
{ Sliders for the 5 or so common attributes }
-- QB Attributes ---
{ Sliders for the core QB skill attributes }
-- Other Attributes --- [button to expand]
{ All other sliders }
2 Usability of sliders
Sliders are incredibly fiddly - would it be possible to also have a text box for directly entering values in that then automatically aligns the slider?
3 Copy from other position
I find most of my OL weights tend to be the same - would it be possible to have a "Copy as position" button? Could then set say LT, for LG, RG, RT then click a button can easily copy to save time.
4 Management of saved weights
It's a bit messy for me. For example, unless I'm as much of a klutz as most of the QBs I've ever had, can't see a way of over-riding an existing set of saved weights - have to save under different name and then delete the original.
Apologies if any of the above are duplicates.
5 Import / Export
Consider thinking of a way to import/export player weight, ie as a csv file. Allows GMs to work on them offline and then quickly upload.
