In real life, I am a very good Chess player. I began playing when I was I was 7 years old after being introduced to the game by a relative who had no idea how to play the game gave me a chess game as a Christmas present.
I did not fully understand the game until a junior high math teacher explained to me the "points" given to each piece and encouraged me to seek the best advantage for my aggressive trade piece for piece style.
It was under his guidance, as well as a band instructor later in high school who specialized in playing the Tuba, that I became the player I am. Ross, the math teacher, taught me the value of each piece and Obinashi, the band instructor, taught me the "Ki" of the game.
It was under their guidance that I was undefeated in tournament play for six years while in school
