Really need help

So we are in the 2nd round of Free Agents at the beginning of the season. I made some cuts, now I have over 32 million in cap. The problem is when I try to make any contract, it says I'm already around. -14 mill in the hole. Can anyone please take a look at my team and tell me what's wrong? I appreciate your time.

That is your available cap, but the need for draft picks is not subtracted on the team page . When you go to the contract screen the Need for Draft Picks: $28,009,515 is subtracted and puts you at 4 mil available . The -14 is a combo of the offers put out already and the one your currently working on. So that part can go alot of different way pending your offers, but only this year's contract are calculated there.

So I'm screwed, or do I simply need to cut my highest paid players? Cutting those guys only seems to save a little, but the dead cap is huge and it will be horrible next year if I must cut like that. What would you suggest? Dump them all and then go out and find some Bad News Bears style players. That is all I can think of.

I appreciate your time.

Whether you cut them or trade them, they will have the same impact on your dead cap. Therefore, you should try and trade them first. If you can't find anyone to trade with, then you will unfortunately have to cut them.

Or you could trade out of that draft there by freeing up the draft salary allocation.

If trading out, I would stick to the trade values given on the trade screen. In other words, dont allow someone to offer you less than the picks are worth.
