I think a couple of things have been added recently . In the later rounds some players receive a volatility boost as the gms pass up on them each round , and static ratings like speed and strength have been increased for lower overall generated players. With some luck i got this guy at 7.19.

Also, some rookies reach their max potential quicker than others . Here, if they are high volatility bust they might actualize in the first camp for a huge loss in overall (-25).
