Has the draft been fixed yet?

I used to play this game awhile ago, but quit, partially because there was this same guy that won the league every year, he played in like 25 leagues and won all of them, I can't remember his username now, but the other reason is because of the draft. There was just no way to get an 80+ overall player beyond the third round, even with 100 volatility and then adding a +20. Has this been changed? Talent volatility was one of the worst parts of the game, rather than adding mystery to drafts, it basically almost always dropped a player's overall by a few points, nothing to affect anything at all really.

I drafted a offensive lineman in the 5th round of the 2022 draft that now has an overall future rating in the 80's. This was part of my rebuild of the Buffalo Destroyers in the Arena Alliance League.

Sweet, sounds like things are doing better then.

I don't need it to happen frequently, I just want it to be possible, so that I don't trade away all my late round picks eventually.

I've got plenty of starters out of late round picks. Just because their overall ratings are poor doesn't mean they won't play well. I have one safety who was drafted in the 6th round. He is a 43/45 under the default ratings and 51/52 under my ratings but he has 90 speed and puts up decent stats, so he won the starting job in his first season. He's not elite, but he's a decent starter. If you are just going by overall ratings, you'll never get anywhere.

I only just started and I won't say it's representative of a real draft, but you can check the allocation draft of my league and start from the back and move "upwards". I remember feeling it was the worst draft ever for offense. When looking at players taken in the 25th-35th round, I can see plenty of talent - and players that have went all the way to 90+ future OVR with my player weights (setherick's recommended)

Man, lately, seems like every 1st round pick I've had has been a bust, but those round 3-5 picks really help out by beating expectations. I've had a 3rd round pick jump to an 87 and a two 5th rounders that top out in the 77-79 range. I had a 6th rounder bump to a mid-70s value.

However, one of my first round picks, slid from mid80s to a 66.

That's the draft! I love going high volatility rounds 5-7

This makes me very happy to hear that the draft is more volitile now. 1st and 2nd rounders were basically sure things, and late rounders were always bad, even if they gained +20 to overall.

I think a couple of things have been added recently . In the later rounds some players receive a volatility boost as the gms pass up on them each round , and static ratings like speed and strength have been increased for lower overall generated players. With some luck i got this guy at 7.19. https://theefl.myfootballnow.com/player/5384 he will lose 20 or 30 more pounds and gain a few points of speed and max out or nearly max out in all cover ratings by year 6 or 7.
Also, some rookies reach their max potential quicker than others . Here, if they are high volatility bust they might actualize in the first camp for a huge loss in overall (-25).
