Playbooks/Player Ratings

Current HC: Balanced Offense/Run Focused Defense .. I'd to poach in the off season a Run Focused Offense/Heavy Zone 4/3 Defensive minded HC (rated 85). Here's my question(s):

If I promote a current position coach that meets what I am looking for (but rated 72 as a HC), whats the difference besides player development?

Playbooks the same?

Would they have the same mindset on personnel so I wouldn't let a player walk in FA later to find out he would have fit in to the Offense/defense?

The coaching style of your head coach defines your playbook. There is a lot of overlap between teams but there is a good amount of the playbook that will change with a different coaching style.

Let me rephrase ... lol ..

What is the difference between a 90 ranked HC and a 70 ranked HC if they both have the same coaching style?

Are the playbooks the same?
Would the default player ratings be the same?

I'm assuming the only difference is player development.

Not much. Currently, coaches help players reach their potential, but they don't help that much.

This is correct. The only impact the coach rating has on the team is how quickly teams reach their potential with the attributes of their coaching tree - the head coach has the greatest impact, the coordinator is next, and the position coach is third.

I am going to be modifying this in the near future to where the coaching staff above each player will give them a game-time attribute boost, but right now coaches only influence development.

So the answer is yes, yes, and yes.
