Look at MFN-1 for the most recent updates to the draft class algorithm, the other leagues are still a little behind what is currently in the cooker.

FWIW, the "0" attribute is relative, i.e. a 0 speed does not mean they can't move, it just means they will be slower than the other players. A light weight 0 speed player might be able to outrun a heavy 100-speed player who takes too long to get up to his max speed.

I have never noticed the speed difference. I have seen DL out chase other defenders to make tackles. Is this only in MFN-1?

This does exist in all leagues - basically the physics are calculated with the acceleration being the "thrust" and the weight of the player being used to calculate how much thrust is needed to increase the speed. The "max speed" is a cap on how fast a player can go and no longer accelerate faster.

MFN-1 is going to have a tweak where the max speed is reduced based on weight to help reduce the big linemen getting up to their max speed and outrunning other players, even though it may take a while, essentially making weight affect max speed in the same way it affects acceleration.

Wont this create an even bigger problem for outside runs that require lineman to pull? HB's dont hesitate to wait for blocks on outside runs so they are way ahead of lineman as it stands now.

Will this be tricky trying too balance it all out?I hope we do not end up with too many fast guys in the end. Then everything will need adjusting.

Those are definitely valid concerns, ones that I will be paying attention to. In general I _believe_ that those guys shouldn't be hitting their max speed in that distance, and the adjustment is hopefully small enough - but I'll run several tests before the season starts and also will be interested in your feedback during the preseason.
