This is a copy/paste from a thread in L67 concerning unfair or unbalanced trades. For those who dont know what a "multi" is, it is an account that is either directly or indirectly controlled by another account. The use of multiple IP addresses, friends/family accounts, and other methods enables this to happen and go undetected or not provable beyond a doubt by admin review.
These accounts are characterized by
1. won loss records that are worse compared to AI or non-owner controlled teams, usually 3 wins or less in a season, as a result of trading away top picks & players and non-active managing of the team during the season.
2. unbalanced trades involving 1st & 2nd round picks, and former first round pick players. These have been numerous and can be found in most every league.
3. transaction records that include long periods of inactivity, as compared to what would be considered "normal" by a single, active owner.
4. Continual use of the contract wizard to re-sign players, as opposed to individual offers at lower salary rates saving cap. Its a lot easier to do, especially when you dont really care about the competitive level of the team.
5. little or no activity during early FA periods, auto drafts.
6. Cutting of 65+ default value rated players that are picked up by other teams right away in FA periods. You could say that its due to salary cap considerations, but it doesnt happen with teams that are "actively" managed.
7. No noticeable scouting and/or gameplanning, all AI run.
8. Extremely high number of teams owned and leagues they have been in, usually over 40, without any noticeable difference and improvement in their game play.
9. Make an unbalanced value "big trade" involving high rated players and/or picks not long or immediately after taking over the team.
10. Compared to most other players, complete lack of replies to messages, trade offers, and no posts in the league or general forums.
add a characteristic if you have noticed it. This has been posted with the hope of making more aware of the problem and improving fair play in MFN. If you justly suspect an account of being a "multi", please submit it for admin/jdb review.
