College coaches tend to have more say so over their teams than NFL coaches but also have a higher rate of turnover they only get their stars a max of 4 years and likely less. Each level has pros and cons and comes out to be about equal in my estimation. The most difficult I think.... is when you are in the NFL and coaching guys your age or older than you.
The average NFL career is 3-4 years, teams have usually turned over 80%+ of their roster every few years in the NFL. Sure you may have some big names play 10+ years with the same team but that is the exception, not the rule.
