I was pinched for time for prepping for my last game and accepted the recommended gameplan that was loaded for me. Loading the recommended gameplan doesn't seem to take much into effect. I get the same base 40 plays everytime, including three running plays that average negative yardage after 10 games of the season. I have a west coast head coach and offensive coordinator, and in a game I never led, we had run 32 running plays and 3 pass plays at the end of the third quarter.
What is the point of having coach style if they never actually have any realistic influence on a gameplan? I imagine the "Load recommended gamplan" feature is designed more for a rookie coach in mind as they are learning the game. If I was a rookie and this happened to me I would quit the game based on this result and the lack of realism in the play calling. As for myself, I just will avoid using it as a gameplan since it doesn't seem to actually work or change based on my or my opponent's tendencies. Love this game, but this feature doesn't work as it is intended to. When will coach style be taken into gameplan account? For the record, my HC last year was balanced offense, and we were rush heavy in almost every loaded gameplan unless I made adjustments. So I am seeing the same result with balanced HC and west coast HC.
