Was looking at my Roster and found a few guys that broke through ceilings.
RT Brian Pennington, in his 6th Season, has improved 23/24 to become a 47/72. While a 47/72 is not impressive, if my Math serves me he was Drafted as a 24/48. So the fact he's a 47, just 1 off his Original 'Max Overall' is good, but the fact that he expanded his Overall to an Effective 72 is great. Will be interesting to see how much of that Max he closes on.
LDE Elmer Baker, in his 12th Season, has been slow and steady gaining 28/18. He's an 81/81 right now, so he was Drafted as a 53/63.
MLB David Kidd, in his 7th Season, was climbed 36/15. He was Drafted as a 36/59, and is now a 72/74.
MLB Francis Humphreys, in his 5th Season, has climbed 40/7. He was Drafted as a 47/81, to be an 87/88.
Some of these guys were Projected to be good, like Francis Humphreys, who merely fulfilled his Potential and pushed his ceiling a little. Other guys were down right horrid, and have become effective like David Kidd and Elmer Baker. And others are merely Useful, when during the Draft there was no reason or hope for them, like Brian Pennington.
It's Draft Season... share your 'Booms' and lament your Busts... because today, literally anyone can grow up to become a Star. The odds might be long... but that 24/48 may just prove everyone wrong.
Who do you have for Massive Gains, either on the front or back ends?
